Nursery Inspo: Baby Boy

19th January 2016

When we found out we were expecting a boy my initial intent of using Nora’s cute floral nursery wares went firmly out of the window. As a person who tried to stay away from the whole baby blue/cream/typical baby boy themes I turned my attentions to Pinterest and came up with my perfect nursery theme – monochrome with a dash of mustard. I’m so excited to see the finished product! So far we’ve only got as far as painting the room white which looks so clean and fresh. Black and white patterns are amazing for babies visual stimulation and in turn their development so as well as looking awesome, we’ll be making him a total brainbox! I’ve spent far too long trawling the internet in search of treasures for this little boy’s room. I am loving discovering all the amazing indie brands so here’s a little snippet of inspo – I’ll be sure to post a full room tour when it’s complete!

Storm Boy Baby Blanket / Tobias and The Bear // Hand Painted Custom Banner / Daydreams & Dandelions // Noodoll Pineapple Plushie / Lullabuy // The Wool Nest / moKee // Wee Gallery Nesting Dolls / Lullabuy // Like a Boss Print – Rory & the Bean // Chevron Knitted Blanket / Mamas & Papas // Black Felt Ball Garland / Beau Monde Bebe // Lovely Little Lightbox / This Modern Life // Snuzpod / Snuz //

I have that chevron blanket :) It’s so lovely and fab quality. I also have the snuzpod – which I love! Freddie (my youngest) is 8 months old and still in it but I am having to move him next weekend I think as he does seem to like his own space now :(

I love this theme you’ve chosen. I am still needing to do Freddie’s room. I’m going for a similair kind of theme. Grey and white are my main colours for his bedroom. We’re doing an elephant theme.

I still use the chevron blanket all the time, I love it! Oh you’re so lucky that Freddie still fits in his Snuz! Woody has always been such a big boy and we’ve had him in his cot since 6 months – next to our bed though, I’m not ready for him to move into his own room just yet.

An elephant theme sounds lovely! We have a lot of grey going on through our whole house :)
